Daisy Lowe in London; in W's March issue.W's March issue fashion portfolio, "Law & Order," features a bevy of wild child models and it-girls catfighting, gambling, posing for mug shots and acting generally unladylike—albeit while sporting some glorious clothes. Among those featured are Eliza Cummings, Portia Freeman, Eden Clark, Amy Greenhouse, Daisy Lowe and Peaches Geldof. At least three of the girls have made the gossip rags recently. Blonde bombshell Freeman is rumored to be going out with Kate Moss's former squeeze, ultimate bad-boy Pete Doherty. Geldof, 19, daughter of Bob Geldof, recently got divorced after less than a year of marriage to rocker Max Drummey. And Lowe, 20, whose father is Gavin Rossdale, made the scene last year on the arm of 32-year-old DJ Mark Ronson. (They broke up in September after six months together.)
We caught up with Lowe to get her take on what happened behind the scenes on W's shoot, photographed by Steven Meisel and styled by Alex White.
What was the atmosphere like on the shoot?
Full of creativity and hyped-up energy. All of us models got on really well and we had such a laugh the whole way through.
I know that you and Peaches are pals, but were you friends with any of the other models?
Yeah I love Portia and Eliza, I've known them both for a while. Me and Portia have been great friends since we were 15. I only met the other girls on the shoot but Eden is brilliant! The two of us had to do a shot where we were kissing which just made us collapse into giggles for a good long while. Eventually I ended up having to kiss Eliza instead because we weren't hysterically laughing the whole time.
What was your favorite outfit?The L'Wren Scott dress I wore on the stairs. It's black with a white collar and buttons up the back. Her clothes just fit womanly shapes so perfectly.
Part of the shoot was inspired by stylist Alex White's experiences with mean classmates at an all-girls school in England. Was your school in England similar?
I went to an all-girls school but it wasn't really like that, we were all really creative so put our energies into that rather than being nasty.
What is the most "bad-girl" thing you've ever done?
I can't disclose that information...
Are you working on any other projects?
I'll be walking in the Anna Sui show for New York fashion week and then doing London fashion week and maybe Milan and Paris after that. I've just done the Pringle campaign, DKNY campaign and the Marc by Marc Jacobs campaign. And my cover of i-D came out this week! Whoo hoo!
