Call it a long night for Stella, Dior and Chanel

So much for great gams—at a posse of shows in Paris, long emerged as a key length for evening. A mix of sheer and covered-up looks, there's a little something for everyone. Stella McCartney went the sexy route, slicing lace panels into an intricate number that will demand verrrry careful prancing and dancing. Conversely, Lanvin's sleek velvet column was almost sporty in vibe.

blog_long_02.jpgAt Dior and Galliano, floaty, Eastern-influenced gowns were gussied up with beaucoup embellishment.

blog_long_03.jpgChanel's take—a bit more prim and proper, but no less desirable—paired a structured jacket with a languid, ladylike skirt.
