We're hooked

A friend recently returned from a trip to the Midwest with reports of something called the Clipa. It's an accessory for an accessory, if you will. A pocketbook hook that is equal parts resourceful granny and "As Seen on TV" gadget, the Clipa (yours for $19.99!) attaches to a table and keeps your bag off a grimy restaurant floor and close at hand.

Well, we got an unexpected delivery last week of the same pedestrian purse hook that signaled a major upgrade. For starters, it was from Chanel. And instead of a basic silver hook, the top of this one (see above) looks like a tiny Chanel compact. It seems perfect for germaphobes who can't wait to place their bags back in their dust bags upon returning home, and those with a thing for logos. We think it would make a great stocking stuffer, except for the sad fact that (as we've just learned) it's not for sale.
