The highly anticipated September auction of the estate of Isabella Blow was cancelled this morning with the news that an anonymous private buyer had purchased the near-legendary collection (over 90 outfits, including shoes by Manolo Blahnik, hats by Philip Treacy and countless pieces by the late Alexander McQueen) in its entirety. We hear that Christie's had nearly completed photographing the collection for the auction catalogue, which was due to be completed in early August. We're just sad we'll never be able to have a copy of it for ourselves.
