Zero Maria Cornejo Swim

blog_zero_sidebyside_02.jpg One doesn’t usually think of swim when seeing Pre-Fall collections but that didn’t stop us from loving Zero Maria Corenjo’s newest swimwear line. Maria’s first swimwear collection debuted in Summer 2010 and we have been obsessed ever since. She now does swimwear for Spring/Summer, Resort and Pre-Fall (a late summer) seasons. This is, however, the first collection that Cornejo has included swim cover ups, wraps and cotton shorts. blog_zero_sidebyside_edit_01.jpgMaria had been wanting to do swimwear for a long time after “searching for the perfect swimsuit; wanting a swimsuit that’s well-designed, flattering yet practical.” The new pieces are great for layering—bikinis under jumpsuits or as tops with a cardigan and skirt. The collection draws from the same references as in the ready to wear collection; color blocking, criss-cross grosgrain straps, one shoulder, side-ruching, looping and twisting while wrapping and bringing everything in towards the body. And with the clothes entering the store in April you can buy it just in time for summer!!
