Powerful Brows: The Getaway
After last fall’s subtle and sometimes even bleached-out eyebrows, the
makeup pendulum swings back this season, bringing with it heaps of
pencil, powder, and paint. In Craig McDean’s fashion story, Stella

It’s a look that showed up at several spring runway shows, including
Prada, Ann Demeulemeester, Proenza Schouler, and Dior. “There’s so much power in the brows,” says makeup artist Pat McGrath, who was responsible
for Prada’s bushy brows and Dior’s deliberately overarched shapes.
“People carry their expressions there, so it’s like, Pow!”
