Gaia Repossi for Zadig & Voltaire

Gaia Repossi has made a name for herself with the youthful designs she’s put out while serving as artistic director of her family’s fine jewelry house, Maison Repossi, in Paris. The charred gold cuffs and chokers she created for Alexander Wang’s fall 2010 collection are the perfect example, having appeared in numerous fashion magazine editorials since their debut on the runway. For shoppers not in the market for one of those lavishly-priced knuckle rings, Repossi is thankfully ready to lend her sense of design to the masses with a collection of cuffs and rings for French fashion brand Zadig & Voltaire (priced at a more friendly $300-$2,500). “It’s young and easy,” says Repossi of the new styles, which reflect elements of Native American tribal design and make references to body painting and tattoos—elements that become one with the body by perfectly wrapping around the wrists and fingers.
