Nike had more than 43,000 unique prints to choose from in the Liberty archive and settled on a different pattern (including “Tom’s Jets,” a design based on 1940s wartime planes and a pilot named Tom) for each of the 12 shoe styles—from Air Force Ones to a new silhouette based on the Moc Chukka Sandal that won’t be revealed until the April 1st launch.
