“Go for it! Put your blinders on! Love it! Blood, sweat and tears!” This is what we heard Betsey Johnson telling students left and right during the Parsons Fashion Studies Line Debut at Lord & Taylor last week. The annual event, which celebrates the best emerging talent from the program’s graduating class, was buzzing with all the energy and optimism we’ve been hankering for lately.
Niyi Okuboyejo created garments inspired by African masks. Wei-Chen Hsiao told us she spent five full days perfecting her leather jacket. And Davis Rothenberg showed off a bag adorned with Swarovski crystals that light up.
