Richard Kern's opening last Thursday at Rental attracted one of the best crowds we've seen lately. For those who aren't familiar, Kern is the downtown New York photographer, filmmaker and quasi-pornographer whose creative accomplices over the past two decades has included Lydia Lunch, Karen Finley, David Wojnarowicz and Sonic Youth. After checking out Kern's photos and videos in the gallery, guests headed upstairs to chill out on the roof.Special thanks to Christos Katsiaouni, who took these photographs for us.
