Remembering Alexander McQueen

blog_mcqueen_01b.jpgEveryone here is stunned to hear the news that Alexander McQueen was found dead at his London home this morning. He was only 40. It was no secret that he had some very dark moments, but there was a point not too long ago where it seemed that he had turned a corner. Speaking to us about the 2007 suicide of his best friend, stylist Isabella Blow, he had said, "I learned a lot from her death... I learned a lot about myself. [I learned] that life is worth living." We can't help but remember those words now. We all mourn the passing of a wildly talented designer and deeply feeling soul.

Here's Bridget Foley's most recent interview with the designer.
