Last spring, after vowing to wear more prints, I succeeded in stocking my closet with floral dresses, checked blouses and striped tees. Now, realizing that I live in a black and blue denim abyss, I've challenged myself to take on the printed jean come fall. Drawing attention to one's bottom half may sound insane to some, but the new jeans I'm seeing on the market are just too good to pass up. And I have devised a three-step plan to ease into the trend.

First, I'll safely go graphic with Stella McCartney's ombre offering

Moving right on course, Resin's muted ikat printed pant

Finally, I'll dare to bust out the purple graffiti jeans,
