The Perfect Shirt for Shooting

blog_polos_01.jpgThere's a new shirt in town and it's aiming a tad higher than the suburban country club set. In an intimate preview last night at the New York Yacht Club, Robert Redd explained that his namesake shirt collection is tailor-made for sailing, court tennis, horseback riding and shooting—rather than the relatively plebeian pursuits of golf and regular tennis. While we can't vouch for their effectiveness in the fields and waves, what we do find appealing is the lightweight pima cotton fabric and the slew of colors and stripe options. In addition, the fit is modern without being trendy, falling somewhere between the traditional baggy golf shirt and the shrunken, tight-fitting Abercrombie variety. If you're a pocket square kind of guy, Redd also makes a great selection for summer. Our favorites include a perfect oxford blue and a navy Liberty print, both of which would add a touch of panache to your seersucker blazer.
