Last night,
W’s new market director Karla Martinez and I headed downtown to Joe’s Pub for a party in honor of Prada’s new Swing collection of sunglasses. The retro cat-eye specs are inspired by the 50’s so, save for the Prada logo napkins, the scene was reminiscent of a bygone jazz club—topped off with a performance by German punk rock star Nina Hagen. Check out our souvenir: A Polaroid of us with interior designer David Lawrence (left) and one of the many models clad in the house’s fall runway looks—replete with those amazing sky-high beehives.
Prada’s Swing glasses, $245 per pair, will be available at the end of October.
