How makeup artist Gucci Westman engineered Kim Kardashian's shining moment

blog_westman_kardashain.jpgWith the aid of a few commonly available products and some help from her trusty assistants, Gucci Westman painted Kim Kardashian to appear as if she’d just stepped out of a pool of precious metal—minus the cost and the cleanup. “I wanted it to look like Kim was dipped in silver, like she was liquid,” says the makeup artist. “But it’s actually dry.” The formula is surprisingly simple, according to Westman. “I used Kryolan Aquacolor silver body paint mixed with Make Up For Ever silver powder. Use a tablespoon of pigment to a bottle of the Kryolan.” The supplies, she says, can be found at Ricky’s NYC and Make Up For Ever (makeupforever.com). If you were thinking of dressing up as Kardashian for Halloween, you’re all set—except for the gravity-defying curves, of course.
