Tee Time

blog-tee-time-01.jpg Photographer Matthias Vriens-McGrath has shot the U.S. men’s soccer team in tight Roberto Cavalli trousers for The New York Times and put male models in women’s underwear for the now defunct magazine Dutch, which he edited. Provocation is part of his charm. And with his latest project, BL33N, a line of T-shirts and a Web magazine launched with his husband, Donovan, he aims to go all out.

Their first collection includes styles with images of body parts on them and another (above) that is meant to be lifted to cover the face. They are accompanied by overtly racy online fashion stories, all photographed by the couple, in the name of freedom. “Meaning, if you are a Republican with extreme right-wing Christian beliefs, you will probably barf up a good one while going through the site,” Vriens-McGrath explains (bl33n.com).
