Laser-assisted liposuction is nothing new for the midsection, but a new
device allows the technology to be employed on necks and jowls as well.
New York dermatologist Macrene Alexiades-Armenakas has teamed up with
laser company Sciton to create the Pro Lipo Plus, an instrument that
combines a tiny cannula with a laser fiber. After fat is vacuumed out with the cannula, the laser firms up the area. "What I'm most excited about is how natural looking the results are," Alexiades-Armenakas says of the hour-long, in-office procedure. "You don't get that overtightened look."
