Denim Bar: Refined Taste

Janet Sung will work magic with your jeans. The mastermind behind Denim Refinery, Sung is bringing custom denim to the masses.

The re-invention can include anything from dyeing, distressing and bleaching to laser printing, and the process is simple: choose a treatment from their ever-growing menu of options (beginning at $70), send in your jeans (or shorts or jacket – anything really) and in about 2 weeks – voila! A totally new look. Or, if you’re feeling especially creative, you can create your own custom treatment.

My growing obsession with printed denim prompted me to try it out for myself. I sent in a stiff, old raw denim jacket and chose a custom combination of dying, laser printing and softening. What came back to me was a truly unique, brown-hued leopard-printed jacket. And just in time for Fashion Week!
