Harry Winston once dreamed of draping women in enough stones to create a
sparkling second skin. In a new collection, Ultimate Adornments, the
brand seems to be realizing its founder's vision with 40 pieces, many
culled from the archives of its late chief designer, Ambaji V. Shinde.
The 700-diamond Qipao cuff mimics a structured 1920s Chinese dress; the
Guipure necklace's 50-carat floral motif resembles bejeweled lace; and
the Caftan necklace (above left) evokes the intricate embroidery and
