Will Ferrell ¡en Español!
With his latest film, Casa de Mi Padre, hitting theaters today, the perennial funnyman is exploring new territory. A full 180 from Anchorman Ron Burgundy’s oft quoted, “You know I don’t speak Spanish,” Ferrell is not only speaking Spanish in his new movie, he’s speaking only in Spanish.
Inspired by Spanish telenovelas, Casa de Mi Padre follows a Mexican rancher (Ferrell) who is struggling to save his family’s farm while trying to help his drug-dealer brother (played by Diego Luna).
Ferrell sat down with W’s Lynn Hirschberg to talk about laughing to “teardom,” wearing special underwear, and infiltrating the Vienna Boys’ Choir.
