Oscar HigherNothing like a little strategic teasing to change a pulled back hairstyle into something bordering royalty. Nicely done, Brian Buenaventura.
Tempted to TangoThe understated yet elegant pulled-back, center-parted hair Joanna Lily Wong did for Zero Maria Cornejo reminded me of an Argentinian Ali McGraw.
Dew Drop OnMichael Kors usually tends to have his makeup people go bold with the bronzer, but this time, the dewy skin glowed with only a veil of blush (which appeared to be on the temples as well), groomed brows and not much else. Well done, Virginia Young.
Catch a WaveThe gentle, natural waves Tabitha Baker styled at Stella McCartney were an inspiration for us all to put the blowdryers down and just let nature take its course.
Stray Cat StrutLoved the feminine rockabilly coifs Heath Grout and Thomas Osborn created at Chris Benz, with the peek of a tiny braid along the scalp.
Mod Lady MaryCindy Sherman's Clown series might have been the inspiration for Marc Jacobs’ collection, but all I saw was Lady Mary from Downton Abbey, who also evidently sneaked into the kitchen and made a very cool eyeshadow out of mustard powder (which was actually from the clever mind of makeup artist Carolina Dali).
C Marks the SpotSure, Peter Philips’s blush-toned eyelids and Sam McKnight’s futuristic pastel Dutchboy wigs already pushed the creative envelope, but those double C beauty marks affixed to each girls’ cheek did it for me. Now you can literally wear the Chanel logo head to toe.
