Like all cool things, British cult clothing label BOY lived fast and
died young: Born in 1976, it was uniform for the Punk and then New
Romantics set—sported by everyone from the Sex Pistols and Andy
Warhol to Madonna and Boy George—but folded prematurely when it
was unable to deal with massive international demand. Now, thanks to a
hugely successful limited-run revival, the full-fledged
BOY collection
is back from the dead. And there’s a whole new generation of
tastemakers—like Nicki Minaj, Jessie J, and Rihanna—who are
adopting the menacing eagle motif and bold letters.
