GET THE LOOK: NO-MAKEUP MAKEUP

Yves Saint Laurent’s international makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds (pictured) on the best way to look like you’re wearing (practically) nothing at all:

blog-ysl-bare-makeup-02.jpg“It used to take 25 steps to get that no-makeup look, but that’s not necessary anymore, especially if your skin is radiant and glowing underneath it all. [YSL’s new foundation] Le Teint Touche Eclat is very transparent—it doesn’t mask anything, so even if you put a lot on, you won’t look like you deadened your face. Your own color is still going to show through.

“Other than that, just a little tinted lip balm, which you can use in multiple locations—lips, lids, cheekbones—a tiny bit of mascara and a tiny bit of brown pencil, which I like to smudge into the roots of lashes with the heat of my fingers. Be sure the eyebrows are groomed, and you’re going to look done.”

Here's what Simmonds suggests you use:
