Fun: There’s an APP FOR THAT

After searching low and high, we've finally found the smartphone answer to the corkboard. As of this weekend, Android users now have the ability to create bright, colorful collages out of their photos with fashion photographer Ben Watts’ new WattsUpPhoto app, a collaboration between the artist and HTC. Users can choose from three eye-popping layouts (think: neon colors and crafty, scrapbook-inspired details) to personalize mood boards out of their own images, perfect for sharing with friends.

blog-ben-watts-photo-app.jpg Watts, who had been dreaming up an app for ages, celebrates its release with “Mix Tape,” an exhibition at Milk Gallery featuring works he created with WattsUpPhoto using his own free-spirited snapshots taken during travels to Mexico, Australia, and the Hamptons.

“Mix Tape” runs through September 4 at Milk Gallery, 450 W 15th Street., with a closing reception on September 4 from 7pm-10pm.
