Paris-based jewelry designer Annelise Michelson launched her first jewelry collection in October 2010 and since then, she has earned quite a coterie of devoted fans…including some W staffers. Collectors of her jewelry appreciate her slightly dark, offbeat sensibility: a pointy double crown ring that feels both regal and menacing (though perhaps a bit more of the latter), or if a chain-and-black-leather necklace wasn’t tough enough, she made the soft leather look razor-sharp.
