I can’t wait to see Henry Leutwyler’s new exhibition, Ballet, at the Foley Gallery in Manhattan. His images, captured during his unprecedented backstage access to the New York City Ballet in the winter of 2012, reveal unguarded moments during classes, rehearsals, and on stage. Leutwyler, who is also known for his portraiture, has been photographing the theater and the arts for more than 17 years. A 488-page book, Ballet, has also been released in conjunction with the exhibition.

Ballet runs through January 6th at the Foley Gallery, 97 Allen Street, New York.
