The Show: Alexander Wang
The Look: Irina clones—so in love was Alexander Wang with model Irina Kravchenko's auburn hair at his spring 2013 show, he asked Redken stylist Guido Palau to copy it for the models on his fall runway. "It's a sort of cognac or Jack Daniel's red," said Palau of the dyed extensions in the superslick pony tails. Diane Kendal for NARS kept the skin and lips extremely simple, but emphasized the eyes with black liner and a light wash of gray shadow. The nails by Jan Arnold of CND were fan brushed with brown polish and then worn down to resemble sandstone.
The Products: Redken Diamond Oil (out in May), NARS Lhasa Single Eyeshadow, and CND Nail Polish in Impossibly Plush.

The Tricks: To hide a ponytail elastic, take a thin section from the pony, spray it with a lot of hair spray, and wrap it over the elastic. Use loose bobby pins to hold it in place until it dries.
The Scoop: CND just came out with Brisa Light, a new shellac base and top coat intended for nails that take a lot of abuse and is said to last three weeks instead of the usual two.
