The Show: Donna Karan

The Look: Slick and sexy—Charlotte Tilbury, working for MAC, created a “bat wing” eye by applying a mix of gray and black cream shadow from the lid all the way to the brow and blending it out into a flared wing. For the dramatic horsetails (the word ponytail doesn’t begin to describe them), hair stylist Eugene Souleiman, working for Wella, added extensions that he said swing on the catwalk like you wouldn’t believe. “There’s an aerodynamic quality that stretches their faces and makes them look up and special, really chic, but not vulgar.” He wrapped leather around the base, adding “a hint of dominatrix.”

The Products: MAC Paint Pot in Blackground and Wella Professionals Stay Firm Finishing Spray

The Trick: For the wet effect on the eye, Tilbury topped the shadow with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant.

The Scoop: The ponytails were so heavy that models were seen holding their hair up above their heads to alleviate the weight. A few were even offered aspirin.
