The Show: Proenza Schouler

The Look: Fresh and clean—“This is a girl who doesn’t really think about her hair—it’s more throw-away,” said hairstylist Paul Hanlon working for Fekkai. Hanlon’s team quickly washed the models’ hair at a small salon across the street from the show venue, dried it to look like each one “just took a beanie off,” and added texture spray to the ends. A few of the girls were also given an under layer of corn rows to make their hair look appear thinner—consistent with a low volume trend seen throughout the New York shows.

The Products: Fekkai Coiff Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray and MAC Clear Brow Finisher.

The Trick: To make a natural crease, stylists tucked wet hair behind the models’ ears while it dried.

The Scoop: Model Sasha Pivovarova’s baby was present backstage, being handed from person to person and adding a relaxed family vibe to what is usually a rather chaotic scene.
