One for the Boys: Rated M by Muriel Brandolini

To celebrate the release of her coffee-table book in 2011, interior designer Muriel Brandolini created a pop-up shop at Barneys filled with the kind of exuberant, multi-culti pieces that define her interiors. Among the most popular offerings were the silk women’s djellabas (her preferred adornment for entertaining at home) that she designed exclusively for the store. “One of my most vivid memories of those two weeks,” she recalls, “was someone asking when I was going to do something for men to wear.” It took a bit of time, but now comes Rated M, a collection of boxers cut from cotton prints, hand-blocked in India. The four styles retail for $89 at Holland + Sherry Bespoke in New York.
