Rihanna’s X-Games, Gigi’s Shoe, and the 12 Most Outrageous Instagrams of New York Fashion Week

For all the observers lamenting the demise of New York Fashion Week before the Spring 2018 season due to the departures of such mainstays as Altuzarra, Thom Browne, Rodarte, and Proenza Schouler, the September 2017 shows were one for the books both on the runway and off. Whether it was Migos’ Offset rolling into VFiles in a yellow Lamborghini on the first night of the season, Rihanna inviting an entire squad of X-Games bikers to perform, or any time Teyana Taylor showed up anywhere, designers did not shy away from going big when it came to staging their shows. But there were also circumstances few could have foreseen: Gigi Hadid losing a shoe at Anna Sui, Lionel Richie dropping in to support his daughter Sofia Richie at Jeremy Scott, or Coco Gordon Moore making her debut at Eckhaus Latta. In short, New York Fashion Week had many attendees finding themselves pulling an expression of surprise that was not far off from a recent Kim Kardashian Instagram. See the most outrageous, memorable moments from New York Fashion Week Spring 2018, as documented on Instagram, here.
