Melt to Earth
Usually, when extraterrestrials invade New York, they make a beeline for, say, the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. Artist Aaron Curry’s exotic sculptures have more cultured taste—they’ve landed in the plaza at Lincoln Center, in a new public art exhibition called “Melt to Earth.” But it seems that these abstract steel forms need to update their cosmic clock, or at the very least hire a new social secretary—they missed the ballet’s opening gala by a few weeks.
“Aaron Curry: Melt to Earth” is on view through January 6, 2014 in the Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center in New York.
