Apple Picking and Pumpkin Patches Bring Models and Musicians (and Martha Stewart) Flocking to Upstate New York

Though temperatures in New York City might not yet herald the arrival of fall, even an unseasonably warm couple of weeks can't stop models, musicians, and celebrities of all sorts from venturing upstate for early autumn adventures. Over the past few years, chefs have departed New York City in order to establish new restaurants closer to the source, bringing them to the Hudson Valley and their chic clientele has followed en masse. Uma Thurman, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Chloë Sevigny have all put down roots upstate, while model Lindsay Ellingson and designer Scott Studenberg of Baja East are both frequent visitors. Ralph Lauren staged his most recent collection, for Spring 2018, in his impressive garage in Bedford, making leaving the confines of the city even more relevant than ever. Between the food scene, the arts scene (including Dia:Beacon, the annual Basilica Soundscape festival, and Marina Abramovic's newly established institute), and the ease of access, the Hudson Valley is the new hot destination for musicians, artists, actors, models, and more. If you visit, just don't forget to Instagram your produce.
