Bill Nye and Buzz Aldrin Help Launch Nick Graham’s Fashion Show into Orbit

Science guy Bill Nye and Canadian fashion designer Nick Graham go way back. Nye has popped up at Graham’s last few presentations, and the pair even collaborated on a line of bow ties. Tuesday night the friendship took a step further as Nye stepped out on Graham’s runway to model the designer’s latest outer space exploration-inspired collection during New York Fashion Week Men’s. Fittingly, 87-year-old Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon, was on hand to walk as well. For the actual clothes, Graham, the man who got his start in fashion by founding Joe Boxer, took the space theme pretty literally. Models sported silver hair and eye goggles with their tailored suits, patches reminiscent of official NASA swag found their way onto reflective bomber jackets, and Nye’s suit sported a pattern of rocket ships, presumably headed out of this world. That, of course, was where the idea for this show seems to be have come from in the first place.
