Who’s Pulling Off the Menswear Look at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival — And Who’s Not

Suits of Cannes

We’re midway through the Cannes Film Festival, also known as competitive red carpet season — the week of high-profile film premieres that gets stars racing to see who can wear the greatest number of gowns with the biggest names in the shortest amount of time. (Well, we all know Blake Lively has a lock on that one.) But a select few ladies young and old alike have eschewed gowns in favor of menswear-inspired suits and tuxes, including the classic Saint Laurent Le Smoking, to varying degrees of success. Here, find the good, the mediocre, and the did-you-look-in-the-mirror of Cannes’s suited ladies — and let the evidence speak for itself.
