Dior Does Brooklyn
In February, Alexander Wang showed his eponymous Fall 2014 collection at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and now Christian Dior’s Raf Simons has followed suit. On Wednesday evening, Marion Cotillard, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Margot Robbie, Adele Exarchopolous, Rihanna and a slew of other style setters made the trip from Manhattan in Dior-branded yellow boats, disembarking in Brooklyn with the help of a Dior-clad crew of model-esque sailors. Following the presentation of the collection, which included both a large selection of all-black ready-to-wear looks and more artistic, printed pieces, the party made it’s way back across the harbor, landing at the Standard hotel’s Boom Boom Room, where a host of models danced ‘til dawn. Decked out in Dior, of course.
