Elie Saab’s Next Generation

Lineisy Montero, Marjan Jonkman, Natalie Ludwig, and more of the season’s top models strolled down Elie Saab’s runway during Paris Couture on Wednesday. It was trademark Saab: princess skirts, twinkling embellishments, dramatic slitted skirts, jewel tones. But it was also a collection that shone perhaps just a little bit brighter than seasons past; the designs featured bolder geometric prints (hearts, florals, swallows, one sheer belted gown emblazoned with what looked like the silhouette of the Chrysler Building), and a notable addition of a few children accompanying the models down the runway. If Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, and others can corner the children’s ready-to-wear market, why not mini-me couture?
