Anyone who regularly swipes through Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert’s Instagram feed knows that the W Contributing Fashion Editor, aka @Bat_Gio, throws a great party. So, it’s no surprise that Battaglia’s fashion week event, held on Friday night at Bergdorf Goodman in celebration of her new book Gio_Graphy: Fun in the Wild World of Fashion, was an over-the-top bash, complete with jugglers, stilt walkers, and, of course, Gio-esque mannequins in the windows (designed by Battaglia, and installed a week earlier). DJ Mia Moretti was on hand throughout the night, while guests like Poppy Delevingne, Caroline de Maigret, Olympia of Greece and Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo danced throughout the evening while sipping on Italian bitter spirits and snacking on Battaglia’s favorite foods, like churros and avocado pizza.
