The Guggenheim Invites You to Take Photos

Guggenheim Storylines

The Guggenheim Museum abandoned the traditional “NO PHOTOS!” policy Thursday morning when they invited a selection of top Instagrammers to snap away at “Storylines,” a new exhibition opening today that explores personal expression through narrative. Works include Kevin Beasley’s “Strange Fruit,” Matthew Barney’s “Cremaster,” and Natascha Sadr Haghighian’s “I Can’t Work Like This,” which was an Instagram favorite. As early visitors frantically added to their social media timelines, Gerard & Kelly performed their piece, “Timelining,” in the lobby. Like or dislike at your discretion. Here 15 Instagrammers tell their #storylines.
