Les Bains Is Back

Les Bains

Once the preferred escape for authors like Marcel Proust and the Belle Epoque bohemians, Les Bains Guerbois—the palatial Parisian bathhouse—was reincarnated in the 1980s as a glamorous nightclub where celebrities like Mick Jagger, Naomi Campbell, and Kate Moss cavorted. The party came to an end in 2010, but now the Bains are back—and this time, you can stay the night. The historic property—which has been transformed into a chic new hotel by interior decorator Denis Montel and designer Tristan Auer—reopens this week. Here, a look back at its colorful history.
