“[We] flew into Paris the night before, rented the fastest Mercedes I could find and drove to Le Mans at 3 am. Got a speeding ticket on the way. Got to bed at 4 and woke up at 7 a.m. to race on the Le Mans track in the old Pescarolo cars. Went about 140 mph in the longest stretch and got 5th place out of 18th guys! Best day of my life!”
