Keeping Up With the Jet Set
If anyone knows how to dress women—and men—for luxury travel, it’s Michael Kors. And he more than proved his frequent flyer power with a fashion show and party celebrating the opening of his new flagship store in Shanghai’s Jing’an Kerry Centre. Kors lured a coterie of international celebs, including Freida Pinto, Hilary Swank, and Carina Lau, to the Business Aviation Center of Hongqiao International Airport, where they took in a surreal runway spectacle of the Michael Kors Jet Set Collection: the brand used the high-def video system Musion Eyeliner to project 3-D holographic images of different locations onto a specially built 44-foot high and 321-foot wide screen. In addition to those in attendance, 17 million Michael Kors fans were able to watch the event live on various digital platforms. Destination chic.
