Miley Cyrus Closes Out the Marc Jacobs Fall 2020 NYFW Show
Marc Jacobs‘s fall 2020 runway show marked the end of New York Fashion Week, as it does every year—and this time, the designer employed Miley Cyrus to provide the hype. Cyrus walked the runway in a black crop top, slacks, and elbow-length gloves while holding a zebra-print coat (rumors that the 27-year-old musician had something on the horizon with the brand circled after paparazzi photographs caught Cyrus leaving the Marc Jacobs offices at the beginning of the week). Meanwhile, performers danced in modern, interpretive styles, interwoven among the seated crowd, while string music pounded the inside of the Park Avenue Armory. In his show notes, Jacobs said his collection referenced his life, and his career. “It is the fading picture of a disappearing New York that prevails—now foreign and exotic in its extinction, forever mythical and chic with its beauty, promise, sparkle, and grit,” he added.
