Underneath It All at New York Fashion Week

“We need to buy black thongs!” a friend said a little too loudly over dinner at a nice restaurant on Day 2 of New York Fashion Week. She had just come from photographing the Eckhaus Latta Spring 2016 show, where models (and cool girls) like India Salvor Menuez and Mari Guidicelli walked confidently down the runway wearing visible black underwear. VFiles, Givenchy, Sophie Theallet, and many others also showed transparent looks featuring striking dark lingerie.
