Taraji P. Henson, Halsey, and a Slew of Celebrity Models Kick Off New York Fashion Week
There's no more glamorous kickoff to the February fashion month than the annual amfAR Gala, held each winter at Cipriani Wall Street to raise awareness and support for AIDS research. This year, the organization honored Lee Daniels and W's Editor in Chief Stefano Tonchi, and, for the event's 20th anniversary, pulled out all the stops at the party, with free-flowing Champagne, a live performance from Halsey, and an A-list emcee in the form of Taraji P. Henson. The space itself was transformed with flickering candles, moody red upholstery, and dark purple flowers. Of course, the most eye-catching spectacle of them all was the sheer number of models circulating the room, including Hailey Baldwin, Joan Smalls, Andreja Pejić, Sistine Stallone, Anwar Hadid, Presley Gerber, and Elsa Hosk. There were also much of Hollywood represented, with Queen Latifah, Adrien Brody, Rachel Brosnahan, Sienna Miller, Lucy Hale, and Nicola Peltz making the rounds. Here, go inside the star-studded evening.
