From Jackie O to Taylor Swift, a Look Back At What Celebrities Have Worn For Their Day In Court
Let’s get one thing out the way: no one wants to spend their day at a courthouse. Whether it be defending your innocence, testifying against an offender, or just plain old jury duty, there are plenty of other places far more preferred to spending your waking hours. (Of course, unless you are Amal Clooney, in which case, you actually probably do like hanging around the scene.) This week, Taylor Swift is spending what should be the lazy days of August not in one of her many vacation homes, but rather a California court where her trial for a civil suit against radio DJ David Mueller, who she alleges reached under her skirt and grabbed her inappropriately during a meet-and-greet at the Denver-based country radio station KYGO. So far, Swift has managed to enter the chambers unseen, save for a rough court sketch released yesterday, which sees the singer wearing a white blouse with a black blazer. It’s a seemingly conservative look that has been favored by a number of celebrities over the years who have had their time in front of the judge, including Paris Hilton, Winona Ryder, and Linda Evangelista. Others, like Lindsay Lohan, however, opt for something a bit more statement-making—all before even appearing in front of a jury—such has a skin-tight white Kimberly Ortiz mini-dress.
