Donatella Versace’s newest scent, Gianni Versace Couture, comes nestled in a handmade napa leather train case embossed with a Greek key pattern, a house signature. The glistening goo inside each jar of Givenchy Le Soin Noir owes its chic ebony shade to the addition of black algae sap. The marine extract is meant to reduce the appearance of lines and foster a more radiant complexion. The lotion is unexpectedly silky to the touch, and its dark color vanishes when rubbed into skin. $360; sephora.com.

Dr. Sebagh Suprême Maintenance Youth Serum is the skincare equivalent of a multi-vitamin. The potion is said to promote skin elasticity with hibiscus extract and fight wrinkles with antioxidant-rich grape-seed extract. A harmless bacterial strain reportedly guards skin against dryness and extreme cold but may leave germaphobes running scared. $400; at Barneys New York.
