Sticky Situation

On Tuesday night, Barneys New York celebrated the exclusive launch of Anya Hindmarch’s Sticker Shop collection—a collaboration with Charlotte Stockdale of CHAOS FASHION—with a school days-inspired bash. Guests like Mamie Gummer, Sofia Sanchez de Betak, Katie Ermillio, and Aurelie Bidermann had the chance to customize their gear with graphic, embossed leather stickers while snacking on nostalgic foods like pigs in a blanket. Hindmarch, who sported a pasted-on pair of googly eyes on her clutch, said that stickers were the “only way of doing fashion” when she was in school. “It’s quite a nice thing to sort of disrupt fashion a bit,” she added. “Fashion should make you smile.” With all of the Mickey Mouse thumbs up and winking faces on display, it was hard not to do just that.
