Who: A slew of artists, including Nate Lowman, Rita Ackerman, and Dan Colen, and fresh faces like Harley Viera Newton, Arizona Muse, and Hannah Bronfman. “I came back [to New York] just for this,” said party committee member Alexandra Richards, who kicked off the week with a night out for a good cause. “I don’t want to be one of those people who signs up for committees and doesn’t show; I really want to support this.”

What: The non-profit RxArt’s annual cocktail and silent auction, honoring artist Dan Colen and his upcoming installation piece for King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Where: Milk Studios in Chelsea.

When: Monday, November 12th.

Why: The proceeds from the more than 50 works sold–which included pieces by artists like Terry Richardson, Inez & Vinoodh, and Aurel Schmidt–went to RxArt’s mission to place fine contemporary art in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Arizona Muse immediately signed up to start placing bids. “I love the piece by Mike Snow!” she exclaimed, referencing the black and white photograph she had just made an offer on. “It’s of a beautiful girl in a massive Indian head dress. I’m from New Mexico, so that really feels close to home.”
