Chrissy Teigen Is Not Sorry for Her Accidental Nip Slip on Snapchat

Obviously.

If we’ve learned anything from the Gospel of Chrissy Teigen at this point, it’s that she couldn’t care less about what “people” and “trolls” have to say in response to her daily musings on social media. We were reminded once again last night when she posted a seemingly harmless video on Snapchat, in which she showed off her new golden spray tan straight from the booth — retro shower cap and all. But it wasn’t the faux tan that got everyone in a tizzy. Rather, it was the fact that she accidentally flashed one of her nipples for a hot second. The horror!

Taking to Twitter a few hours later to offer a very serious, very formal apology for this uncouth nip slip, Teigen offered one solemn word of regret: “Whoops.” A few minutes later, to cleanse her sins even further, she released a video to beg for additional forgiveness. “I just want to apologize to everyone I know. I’ve let my friends down, I’ve let my family down,” she mused in a silk bathrobe. “I have nipples. It’s not something I’m proud of.” It’s a preexisting condition in Trump’s America, damn it. What is she supposed to do, get them removed?

As the old saying goes, pseudo-apologies always come in threes, so Teigen capped off Nipplegate by posting a screenshot from her text conversation with her assistant to shed some more light on the apology-making process. “FYI your nipple was fully out in one of your snaps. I deleted it,” Teigen’s assistant, also named Christine, wrote in a portion of the communiqué, following an intriguing inquiry about bingo equipment. Teigen captioned the screenshot, “What is it like being an assistant in Hollywood, you ask?”

All in all, sounds like a normal day in Chrissy Teigen’s world.

Though, it’s not like Teigen actually has a problem with posting topless, as she once told us:
